Functional testing
We open the public tool, use a safe representative input, complete the main action and inspect the result. Checks cover validation, empty and error states, reset controls, copying, downloads and any format-specific output.
Browser and responsive testing
Shared changes are checked in a current Chromium browser at representative desktop, tablet and mobile widths, including 320 pixels. Keyboard access, focus visibility, colour contrast and dark-mode readability are included where supported.
File and calculation checks
For file tools, we verify that the generated file opens and matches the selected operation. For calculators, we compare representative and boundary inputs with the documented formula or an authoritative source, including units and rounding.
Guide screenshots
Article screenshots are captured from the real local ToolTapGo route with a safe sample. Browser chrome is excluded, the relevant controls and result remain visible, and each optimised image receives recorded dimensions, alt text and a caption.
Competitor comparisons
Only current public information from an official competitor page is used. We record the research date, distinguish directly verified information from anything not visible, and avoid reproducing competitor copy, logos or screenshots.
Limitations
A passing test covers the recorded browser, sample and date; it does not prove every possible file or environment will behave identically. Tool pages and guides therefore retain relevant limitations and correction links.
